Over the years, I have cobbled together U-Joints, and sockets to get the angled approach I have needed for many a tight places, but there have been plenty of choice words yelled in the garage or driveway due to the U-Joints binding, the connecting pin falling out, or space constraints where I needed a deep socket, but it wouldn't fit when combined with the U-Joint... I recently worked on a family air-intake where the frustration and time spend in cobbling together tools to reach some tight 10mm, deep studs required a better solution.I have enough socket sets, that I don't think my tool box can accommodate the weight/space of another full set, so I just purchased the #1 used size, the 10mm. Let me tell you, this is a game changer! the swivel joint is far superior to the U-Joint, and having the swivel & socket as a single unit decreases the overall length and makes it versatile to get into those tight places. I also picked this particular unit as it had the slimmest outer diameter, insuring that Bulk of the joint would exclude access to those tight spaces.The material seems to be incredibly strong and I have no worries about it ever splitting unlike some of the weaker/cheaper chrome plated variants. I cannot recommend this enough!

I have a few of the Sunex impact swivel sockets, and they've held up pretty nicely for being used professionally (I work at a Ford dealer) and for the price you can't go wrong!
