The instructions that came with the ladder are not the correct instructions so it took me a while to figure out if I was opening it correctly. On this ladder you just have to open it to a certain length in one of two spots and it will lock itself. Otherwise, it will slowly slide back down into a closed position. Once I figured out the right places to pull to open and extended it far enough it locked well and completely. I easily put it up to the side of my house and got on the roof. It has an indicator on one of the steps to tell you if if it in the right angle to be safe to climb. It is comfortable enough to stand on and also very portable. There is a Velcro strap that holds the rungs closed so you can lift the whole ladder. It is a little heavy but not too awkward to carry. I have a folding ladder that is harder to carry than this one is. It feels very sturdy and made well. I definitely like this ladder.

Our old rickety ladder is a death trap waiting to happen and my husband understands that I like to be independent so if something needs to be done at height, I'm bound to use what we have. He's tired of having the same conversation about me waiting for him to get home before I tackle a project that requires a ladder, so we decided to try out this telescopic ladder and it's opened of my world to a lot more possibilities that don't require a second set of hands. Most importantly, it's compact and light weight. I'm a person of small stature so this is pivotal that I can lift it freely without strain. We have a two-story house, so I need to be able to safely transfer it up and down the steps as necessary. It has a Smart and Safe Design with its angle indicator, safety lock features to keep it from collapsing, and rubber feet to keep it stabile and in place. I use it quite frequently to reach my hanging plants on the patio to tend to them without extending myself on a step ladder where I can hardly reach. Recently, our AC unit went out and my husband wasn't home. He gave me instruction to get into the attic and take a look at the AC line to see if it was frozen over. I had no issues getting up there safely and securely. This ladder also gives me a peace of mind that we have a safe way to exit the second story in an emergency if we can't use the house stairs. This is a brilliant purchase and I highly Recommend it!!

I don’t have a lot of storage space , this is perfect - it collapses and stores easily , easy to use , good height , sturdy . It’s definitely on the expensive side but I think it’s worth it ,

After having this ladder a while, I can say it's two main advantages are (a) takes up very little storage space, and (b) portability, because you have a 13 foot ladder that telescopes down to only 3 feet tall. It's still relatively heavy, but can be managed by one person. It's certainly much easier to move around when collapsed compared to the typical 12 - 16 foot ladder. Other than those features, which may or may not be important for you, it's very well-made using heavy-duty aluminum, and is designed to be easily raised and lowered. The ad copy says "lightweight" but that doesn't mean light duty. Safety features, to prevent it from collapsing unintentionally are built-in.Being a Vine reviewer, I haven't done comparison shopping so can't speak to retail value. I would assume, however, that compared to a standard aluminum two-section extension ladder, this one with its collapsing feature will be more expensive. So it depends on whether easy storage and better portability is worth the additional cost to you.

Okay so 1 month review is this thing is amazing so far!I’m 5 11 180 lbs when this ladder is fully extended there is barely any flex.I own the 12.5 ft version and it works amazing.I love the self leveling indications as it’s a reminder to sometimes not to hurry and correct my angle before going up.Would highly recommend this ladder, for the price it seems to be very well built!I heard there is a 90 day warranty covering any defects within the ladder itself, not physical you caused it damage but the ladder itself if it falls apart it’s covered. That is…. If you survive to make your claim muhahahaha jk. I’ll update as time goes on, but for now buy it.

I have had this ladder for a little while now, and I will have to say I am pleasantly impressed. The latter is easy to carry since it is collapsible, is great in the house since I can move it into the stairwell, collapsed and extended, and sturdy, all the things I look for in a ladder. This is probably not a tool. I would use every day, but for homeowner use it fits the bill well. I would recommend this product.
