Got a harmonic balancer out with the 24” wrench. I only placed the teeth of the wrench on the lip of the pulley, having minimal surface to hold on too. I got the bolt loose in seconds.

I have never used a chain wrench before but I was sure thankful I was introduced to one before changing the timing belt and the cam seals on my Toyota. It worked great at holding the pulleys while I loosened the bolts and then torqued them. Not sure how I would have done it without one!

I ended up buying two at the same time. The quality for the money was very good decently good material. the only problem I had is one was perfectly fine and the other one had a little bit of a locking issue where the chain doesn't seep into the holder. But easily fixed with a little bit of filing / grinding. Just had to take off a little bit of Steel to make it work otherwise for the money you can't go wrong.

It didn't work for what I got it for because I had no way to hold down a 4 inch diameter hydraulic cylinder but it works great for other things. Strong enough to flip my workbench over. I even had a pipe over the handle and pushed down .That's when the bench flipped. It is a very heavy bench

Wish I had an action shot for you...purchased this tool because I couldn't get a rebuilt engine to spin -- it was a little frozen. Wrapped the chain around the harmonic balancer (that was a two person task) and pulled...the engine is unstuck.This is a strong, sturdy tool and I would buy another one if I needed it.

The trouble that where you want to use it may not be the easiest to get the wrench on. Using it on a pulley for a serpentine belt can slightly damage the ribs on the pulley, but they the can be filed.

Stopped mid job to write a review and say this is the best CHAIN WRENCH I have ever used. It bites better than any chain wrench I have used and I've used many in my line of work. Worth the money and will have to buy another for my work truck.
