If you have a car built after 1995, and you're a do-it-yourself sort of mechanic, you need this tool! It makes serpentine belt replacements so much easier - and safer. No more frustration figuring out the right combination of sockets, extensions, twisty-joints, and so forth, just to almost get the belt tensioner loose, and then have it slip, instantly denting the radiator while simultaneously slicing some fingers. Believe me, I now how this is. This tool fixes all of that!- Easy to use- Thin but strong design allows it to easily slip between pulleys, belts, and fan shrouds with ease- The long lever-arm gives plenty of moment (torque) and precise control- Has several combinations of sizes, both 6-point sockets and frog-foot wrench attachments, so it will fit most common applications, even including my Mercedes M113 belt tensioner, or even better, the dreaded early Chevy 5.3L serpentine.Bottom Line: A very good tool for that common DIY mechanic task of serpentine belt replacement at a very reasonable price point - Recommended

I was helping my dad change an alternator on a Dodge Grand Caravan, where the belt tensioner is virtually inaccessible using regular tools. Although I don't do a lot of automotive work, I usually manage to reach belt tensioners with normal tools. However, with no other options available, we decided to purchase this item, and it worked wonderfully. The old saying about having the right tool for the job definitely applies to this device! It features a thin bar that allows you to access tight spaces, and the additional bar for leverage makes releasing the tension effortless. It also comes with multiple attachments to ensure it fits most applications. I highly recommend this product.

This belt tensioner tool is a lifesaver! Releasing tension used to be a hassle, but this tool makes it quick and safe. Nice to have - seems to be the same quality as the loaner tools I’ve used. Nice to have this in my toolset just in case I have an issue outside of the auto parts store hours.It would be nice if this came in a case, but that also likely helps them keep the price down. I used a small Velcro strap to hold the pieces together.The tensioner on my tundra is pretty stout and this didn’t seem to have any issues with it. No complaints.

Very nice build quality on the 2 main pieces of the tool. The sockets could be a bit better. Get design that can be made into different angles. Non slip grip is perfect for the oily hands. Slim design works well on my Honda V6. Very easy to use. Versatile design that should work on many tight engine bays.
