A bit of a challenge to assemble, but I managed in about 35 minutes. Now it works great! So glad I bought it! Wooden finish is attractive too.

One of the picture holders cracked under pressure. Because of the design, you have to tighten the knob to keep the picture holder level and to minimize wobbling. That puts pressure directly onto the smallest, weakest point. Pretty sure this can't be fixed.UPDATEI contacted the manufacturer. They honored the lifetime guarantee. The factory sent me a new part. That's good. Also, the new part has improvements that will fix the original flaw. I've bumped up my rating to five stars. If this easel model (with improvements) fits your needs and budget, go for it.

Sturdy nice, good quality wood. I like that it can be tilted horizontal. Can be moved around. Collapsed and doesn't take much space. Assembly? each piece was numbered and they put each kind if hardware piece labeled in big letters in a separate easy to open bag. I ran into a glitch with the hinge screws holes on one side were marked wrong, but it was an easy fix (nail and hammer and used my electric screw to get the screws in). Step 5 of the assembly the diagram was confusing. The bulk piece should be on a flat surface while you try to thread the long screws through the pieces of wood.Overall, a nice easel, luxury for a fraction of the cost.

Came packaged securely, shipping was fine. Item was initially delayed, then arrived well before the new estimated date. Assembly went smoothly, took less than an hour for me to accomplish. The easel feels solid. I don't plan to be moving it, so I did not install the wheels, but with the rubber feet it doesn't seem like it will be prone to wandering around.... as long as I don't get too enthusiastic! Haven't begun to paint with it much yet, but the ability to hold two canvasses and myriad adjustments should make this easel very useable. Satisfied with every aspect of this transaction so far, thanks!

Pros- decent wood- sturdy frame, at least for the way I paint and create art- not all that difficult to put together- holds decent sized stretched canvas with easeCons- not too keen on the way the tighten knob is behind the top canvas placement- I personally had to reach out to Viswin for the build manual as mine was missingSo the cons are probably minor, hence why I'm still giving it 5 star. I did get it on sale to be fair but I think I would have been happy if I had confidence in the brand like I do now, at the original price.I'll start with the top section. It's a great idea, I just feel like it's a second hand thought. Who ever designed it (I assume not someone at Viswin since it's not the only easel to have the same design) could have potentially changed it up. To be fair, it works. But I'd definitely only use it for references, photos or canvas board. The stretched canvas just won't sit right my brain to use it without thinking about how it could stretch the actual canvas if I push to hard using it. It shouldn't. But I'd rather not risk it unless it's only a practise piece. Now as far as the build instructions go, could be an oversight or maybe an older version I received. But Viswin reached out quickly and sent me over the instructions in PDF form. So I printed them out and got to work. And it was relatively easy. I take my time usually and it only took me about half an hour to put together. It's pretty straight forward when you've got the extra assistance there. It's pretty sturdy to be honest. The wheels move decently, at least on the carpet I use it on. It's not too difficult too much either as it's not that heavy when it's stood upright. It's really nice to use. I have no issues with the wood quality either. It all seems sturdy enough, although I'm generally not that rough with easels. It's nicely finished with a smooth finish as well. It's been so much nicer using an upright easel to paint. I'm used to using a small desk easel. This has brought a new lease of life to my creating art. And I don't have to do it on the floor for the larger ones anymore either!Happy to recommend it from my experience. I really do think it's a great product!

UPDATE, final: After contacting the seller, they addressed my issues and mailed a replacement beam that arrived extraordinarily quickly. This one seems sturdy and I am cautiously upgrading my rating to 4-stars for now. The new beam is working well, and doesn't appear to be cracking. Time will tell. This easel still has issues I don't care for, but for the price and with this customer service... if you know what you're getting, then feel free to buy away. If not this easel, then another by the same seller should serve just as well.UPDATE, Third Use: Today, while tightening up the height beam, the same beam cracked! Images included. This thing is fragile. You can't use something for painting if it breaks under normal usage on the THIRD TIME OUT. Don’t get this or any of the easels that are mass produced for multiple distributors like this one. AVOID.ORIGINAL: If you haven't noticed, every easel in this price point and style... are all exactly the same. Whoever makes these must sell to multiple distributors. This easel has three issues: One, it is beech. Beech is a cheap, nonrenewable (they take forever to grow, but there are still a lot of them so they’re cheap for now) wood that is easily damaged. Put it this way: Pine, a softwood, is more durable.Still, we don't expect to be roughhousing with an easel, but expect easy scratches and dents.Second, if used like a traditional easel where it is upright and you never plan on using this one flat for "drip" paintings... you may wish to avoid as it's VERY difficult to get it to stay still... unless you buy a couple clamps to keep the moving frame to the stationary one. This works very well, but it's annoying. You could just bolt them together if you feel like drilling. I might do that.Last, the hinges. By the gods, the hinges. These things are loose as heck and could be so much better. Fortunately, you don't have to buy new ones! Here's the fix!Take a pair of long groove pliers and crimp the metal wrapped around the pin tightly. It's almost impossible to overdo this, so put your back into it. This will take out nearly all the play in the hinges. Put them back on and the easel becomes MUCH more study front and back.Combine this fix with the clamps, keep the wheels off, and it's a fairly study easel for the price. Some closing complaints are that the aforementioned wheels are good for moving the easel, but not while painting/drawing and not in storage. Remove them. The "two at once" thing is nice enough for keeping a second painting while the first one dries or for display, but don't expect to paint since there's no way to lock it expect friction fitting it with the slide below or above it. In the end, this is just one extra slider, so don't purchase for that alone. There's also no place for art supplies on this easel, and that's rather lame. The instructions lack a notice about which way some things go together. Be prepared to have to undo part of the build and think your way through logically how to build the base.Would I purchase again? No. This is the easel you get, use for a while, and then it becomes your backup/display easel that you never paint on again. It's not bad for the price, but be prepared to fix it up a little to get it in decent shape. I'm still keeping it, but next time I'll find something else.

I looked at many easels before picking this one -- and I could not be more happy. It is beautiful wood, well made, sturdy, and was easy to put together (it took me 45 minutes to assemble it, but I was not in a hurry). Favorite features: it can hold 2 canvases. I use the upper one for reference as I paint the lower one. Also, it swivels to a flat position. The wheels make it easy to move around the studio.Mine arrived with one small piece broken in transit, and the company quickly and professionally made it right. A+ service!
