After many years of wrapping tape around my long nose vise grip jaws, I thought there must be something out there that I could slip over the jaws of my pliers to avoid damaging the metal surface finishes, rubber hoses or fuel lines that I was working on. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything, besides tape or cutting up rubber hoses. Both were cumbersome and not very efficient or effective. This started me tinkering around with a few designes that would eventually turn into the protective jaw covers above. Throughout this wonderful journey, I was inspired by all of the help and support that I received from American designers and manufacturers. It proved that American ingenuity and "know how" can still be found in our great country. They work as they should

I’m not sure what 6” pliers this is supposed to fit. I tried them on a small Knipex, a pair of needle nose, and a small vise grip with straight jaws. They don’t fit well on any of these, they are not rubber but barely-rubberized plastic, and are smooth with no “sawtooth” to grip things. All in all, either these don’t work as I expect, or I bought the wrong product.

When I have to clamp something in working on these rubber sleeves that go over the vice grip jaws work as intended. No scratches and make it possible to do work where hand holding isn’t doable

When using vice grips on soft material such as wood or plastic this permits you to have grip, without marring the material. So far used it on wooden projects, and a few automotive ones as well with outstanding results. And Made in the USA!

Used the vise grip with rubber covers to assist me to pull my hunting boots on because I have arithis and can't grip to pull them on and up! Sounds silly but the visegrip helps.
