Dozens of uses around the house and yard. Two hundred feet should cover lots of projects. If you don’t have a cable cutter (and don’t want to purchase one) you can quickly and easily cut through small-diameter steel cable with a cold chisel. Just lay the cable on an anvil or other heavy metal object, and use a hammer and cold chisel to strike a sharp blow on the cable. The chisel will cut right through it without fraying the ends. The money you save by not buying a cable cutter should be invested in a quality crimper so you can double crimp the ferrules and make sure they hold well.

I needed guidelines to install lighting in my backyard. Initially, I thought of using a long rope, but I was concerned about sagging and it getting cut in the wind. However, I came across this stainless steel wire, which solved my worries. It's very thin at 1/16 inch but resistant to rust, strong enough to not break easily. It was long enough for me to install lighting in a 1/2 acre backyard for an event. With steel cable clamps included, securing it was easy. However, fixing these clamps without a wire crimping tool is not straightforward. I used a regular lug crimping tool, which worked well. I'm satisfied with both the quality and price.

This is some good quality cable steel cable only other thing I got to say about is I think it should come with some clippers if you don't have the special cutters you're going to have a bit of a time with it and with this type of cable you need to be able to cut it clean and quick so I think this should have came stock with some clippers

I got this to use on some wire supported shelves around the ceiling of My shop, so I could store some of My less frequently used parts and pieces...It works magnificently for My needs. This stuff is so incredibly strong for it's size that it's not even funny!I highly recommend buying either an aircraft cable cutter, or using a rotary cutoff tool if you want to have any prayer of getting the cable through the holes in the ferrules. It's worth every penny! TRUST ME!I'd also recommend purchasing a steel cable ferrule crimper. Yeah, you can smash them down with a hammer, but to really take advantage of the ferrule's holding power, they should be crimped twice with a proper tool.I use many sizes of this stuff, and it's so convenient to have the proper tools on hand to quickly cut and crimp a length of cable quickly. It lasts forever outdoors, as it's stainless, so it's great for cross bracing a gate, or even for use as a dog run. It says it has a 96 lb. working load rating, so I wouldn't use it in an application where something relied on this for safety, but I can tell you for a fact that it takes a whole lot more than that to snap it. I have a length of this that I doubled up, and added loops to the end. It rolls up into a Zip Loc sandwich bag, and lives in My RZR's toolbox. I've used this stuff to pull another UTV out of a hole more than once. It's capable of way more than it's rated for!Great cable, easy to work with, and it's so much stronger than you'd imagine! Two thumbs up!

This versitile stainless steel cable is just the right gauge for many lightweight household and light industrial cable tasks - especially those that do not involve direct health and human safety issues. Go ahead and get 200 ft. You'll be amazed how fast you go through it once you see how handy it can be.I used it for hanging a very high bird feeder which can be lowered by cable and turnbuckle for refill. (Of course it could have many functions, I'm reporting how I used it.)I selected this cable for one simple reason. This cable CANNOT be chewed through by Squirrels, and I don't care how mean or desperate they are.Backstory is that I was originally using nylon rope to suspend my feeder up very high, with the rope making it able to be lowered down to refill. Very nice and squirrel proof, I thought. Ha! what a laugh. The squirrels chewed through that nylon rope in a few minutes. Down crashed the "inaccessible" feeder, damaging it and spilling loads of birdseed everywhere. The birds were disconsolate. The squirrels were jubilant! My wife was not amused.Enter this wire rope. This is real stainless steel wire rope. Those little fuzzy tailed rats can chew until their gums bleed and they will not dent this stuff. Squirrels, chipmunks, rats, raccoons, whatever. They retreat in abject failure before the onslaught of this cable. chew chew chew... Nothing but pain and defeat for the squirrels and other nasty rodent critters.A nice touch that this product includes the crimps, although you may still need to use u-bolts depending on the application. IF you use the crimps, make sure you have the proper tool, easily available on Amazon.Of course, in any installation safety is always first. But for routine lightweight applications where human safety is not seriously at stake, this 304 grade 1/16 stainless wire rope is a winning choice....and did I mention the squirrels are now unable to defeat my squirrel-proof bird feeder? Wait...I think I said that. :-) Anyway...Five stars - recommended, and an extra plus-ding for including the crimpable ferrules. Well done.

this is a quality product that arrives as describes and serves whatever purpose you can think to do with it. We used to serve as a permanent means of mounting some patio/cafe style string lights across our covered patio and it worked just as anticipated. A little difficult to work with until you get some experience along the way. Once you master the small nuances of how it twists and uncoils, etc- you'll be cruisin in no time!
