This is simple. Hook one end under the leg of your stool, put the end pin in the other end of the strap, adjust the length and your bass stays put. You can stand on the strap if you don’t use a stool, and I have when I didn’t have one available, but it’s really not designed for that.

Always used a puck in the past and/ or rubber tip that wears out quickly. This does the job, the cup is big and easy to hit and big enough to hold the rubber tip on my pin with ease. Only issue is that I wish the D ring was fatter as it wants to pull out from under my stool.

The XEROS (1007XB) is an Excellent Upright Bass End Pin Anchor strap.I actually prefer this particular strap for my CELLO ... rather than the XEROS "Cello Strap" (1007XC).Well made and I'm confident it will last!

Solidly made. Does what it’s supposed to do. Because of a back injury I have to play the bass from an adjustable chair. It hooks to the leg of the chair and keeps the base peg from skating around. I have a rubber foot on the peg and it’s a little hard to find the “V” of the socket, but you get it eventually.

I used this to play upright bass in a musical theater pit, which requires a lower angle and longer strap than a normal concert setting. This anchor is definitely designed for the bass; much longer than the cello/bass anchors I have used before and exactly what I needed. The strap is about two feet long at its shortest and can extend to almost four feet. I was a little wary of the V-shaped end piece instead of the enclosed circle I am used to, but the peg never moved. The bottom of the peg plate is stlightly rubberized for a little extra grip on smooth surfaces as well, which was a nice touch.

This anchor will not work for you if you are a short player. It is extremely long even when used in its the shortest length. Buyer, be aware!

I have an original one for myself that has a metal endpin holder and D ring, but I bought this for home use. The strap is quite a bit longer than the original, so I needed to attach this new one to the back stool leg to get it to the proper length for my playing style. Works great!

I'm not sure if I receieved a defective strap or if all of the straps are this long... but the shortest this strap will get is 22 inches. The longest is about 43 inches. 22 inches is way too long for my 5 foot 1 son. Too bad... the quality seemed great.
