There is not gain in on this because it's not needed, as long as your recording in 32bit mode you cannot physically clip the audio tracks. Its awesome.

Works out of the box on Linux. I am very pleased. Sadly due to not accepting generic linux drivers you can’t use wine to run the app.If enough of us ask the company maybe they will make a Linux package for us.So for Linux I would probably recommend something else but I got it for cheap from a 3rd party seller so I am happy.Havn’t tried using it to record yet. Hopefully it still gives output to system as f32.

We have tested one unit of Zoom UAC-232 that we bought here using Multi-Instrument V3.9.9.0. We were particular interested in its dual-ADC architecture and how it performs under 32-bit float mode. The dynamic range of its XLR mic input was found to be about 136.4 dBA or 134.3 dB, which outperforms those single ADC solutions by more than 10 dB. With a proper microphone, it is possible to capture sound across the entire human hearing range without sacrificing fidelity or encountering clipping, and this can be achieved without the need for analog gain adjustment. This is a highly desirable feature in sound recording and measurement industries. With the digital gain set to 0dB, the signal was found to clip at 0 dBFS (ref. the sample value of 1). -3dB frequency response was measured to be from about 9.8Hz to very close to the 1/2 sampling rate selected, and was very flat in between, just as what is stated in its specifications. 1kHz THD can be as low as 0.0006% at some signal levels. It was found that the switching between the high-gain ADC and low-gain ADC occurs at 0.03 Vrms, where a very small abrupt change in noise level, THD, THD+N and input-output linearity can be measured, but not heard.

Bought this to a replace an U-44 in my setup and extremely disappointed in the output of Main, headphone output works as expected and sounds great when paired with high bitrate audio.Currently using an AMS-44 until there is fix, also sad the software is lacking connivence features that function like the AMS-44's buttons (Automatic stereo.)This does not make sense due to the overall cost of the unit.

As an owner of the Zoom F6 I expected the same quality and this delivers. The preamps are fantastic and the outputs are very clean as well. My unit does not roll either. This unit can potentially replace a handful amount of hardware gear as this can actually power some mics without using a cloudlifter. Using this inside FL Studio has been flawless on a M1 Mac. Setting this up as Aggregate Device as a 32bit float at 96khz has no problem using it with other 24bit 96khz devices with other mic inputs and outputs. I am looking forward to the 8 in and 8 output 1U device which is scheduled to release later this year.

Hands down the cheapest feeling preamp I’ve owned. Truly like it’s a knockoff fake. Garbage body. But it works great. 32 bit float is definitely overrated, but would be great for streaming or new voice actors. Not worth 200 bucks. Good luck deciding. You think it can’t feel that cheap until you pick it up and instantly wonder if there’s actually anything inside it. But again, there is and it does in fact function well. And good luck again.

I had a Scarlett 2i2 to drive my monitors and for mic inputs, My main mic has been a RE320 with a Triton Fethead. It sounded great. But the USB port on the Scarlett started to get janky, so I decided to try something else. MY main DAW iOS Adobe Audition, which does 32 floating bit point, so I decided to try an interface that does as well. It is weird. There is no gain, and the Fethead head isn't necessary. you can control levels in the DAW, but there is no gain.the quality of the input and the output is great, and I have no issues. it was just a interesting/weird adjustment.

Got my interface and I'm loving it. On my unit the knobs are solid and the rubber feet don't roll. The rubber feet let it stand flat or on its side just fine. The sound through the unit, both in and out, is fantastic.
