Not a dewalt but also not the price of a dewalt. Would recommend for someone who needs one for minimal use or has a low budget to purchase a functional sliding miter saw.

This saw works great. It has made a world of difference in the great cuts that I am getting compared to my circular saw

So far I'm still trying to find the locking pin, the directions are worthless for pointing out the different parts. The material is cheaply made, and not intuitive for easy use. If I ever get around to using it, I'll update the review.(edit) Pay the extra money and get a better product, you will be glad you did.

I got this for Christmas 2018, not from this buyer, but it’s the same exact saw. So I’ve had a little time with it now. It cuts wood, that’s about the best thing I can say. The little side clamp that holds the wood against the fence broke within like 3 days. The side support rails that slide in and out, those don’t give ANY support at all. The wood doesn’t even touch them, they’re too low so the wood ends up being tilted up and not flat on the table of the saw so they don’t help. At all. They’re useless. Also, the slide lock knob doesn’t really hold the rails in place anymore. I’ve barely used it so maybe it didn’t hold them in place ever very good but it won’t tighten down all the way now. So it kind of slides even when I don’t want it too. That’s not awesome. So yea, it’s not good but it works I guess.

The product was delivered with a broken part, but seller sent a replacement promptly. It's not as bulky and some more expensive saws, however, it's solid and does the job very well!

This review is for the Chicago Electric 10" Sliding Compound Miter Saw.First thing I need to say, Chicago Electric is not, as many might assume given the price, an 'off brand'. Chicago Electric is a brand sold by Harbor Frieght tools, and the pricing is so low because this is a legitimate case of cutting out middle men to save you money, and a case of you aren't paying a hundred bucks extra for a name on the side of the machine. This saw is a very solid and durable tool. Very well made and of a quality I'd expect to pay quite a lot more for. This was bought to replace a 7 inch Delta saw my dad had for years. He wanted one like this but at the time that wasn't gonna happen because they were all about $500.To save you some digging:Motor is 5000rpmBlade is 10" with a 5/8" arborCuts boards up to a foot in widthCuts at up to a 45 degree angle left and right.Cuts up to a 45 degree bevel, but only to the left. Both ways on that is the next saw up.Saw does not come with a blade. Be sure to buy one alongside this ( I point this out in case it's a gift. Hopefully that saves someone an oh crap moment when the recipient opens it an wants to try it out)This is overall a great tool. Amazing value for the money, though I have to give a piece of advice that doesn't reflect on this item but needs to be said. If you can possibly swing the extra money to get the double bevel, do it. I didn't, and though I am truly delighted with this I was stabbed with buyers remorse when I realized that the double bevel wasn't very much more money.Barring that, I absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs a miter saw. Especially if the bevel is no big deal to you, this is the saw to get, period.
