1. Be sure to turn off water heater first
2. Remove anode and drain water heater
3. Rinse water heater
4. Replace new anode rode

Great replacement for my suburban water heater.. Magnesium seems to work best with my water content and these ware working great so far.. Great price for 3 rods!

Looks like any other anode rod that I have ever purchased. I won’t know how it functions until I remove it from the water heater next winter. I usually replace these once a year. The threads and diameter are the same as my RV water heater. If they perform well, I will definitely order them again.
