It is perfect replacement for Glasser Plastic Grips, No Glue Needed but Stick Tight. Direction to use: 1. For making new bow: just put the grip & winding right on the position after finishing bow sticks. 2. For used bows with broken grip & winding: Peel off old grip & winding; Clean the part of bow stick; Slide the E.Z. grip & winding on. NO glue need! If you know violin bows you know the balance is affected by the weight of the wrap and the leather. So you will know the balance will change if you use something like this. But if you have a bow without a grip and want something to keep you from wearing the wood while you wait to have it done, or if you just want something on the bow to orient your fingers this is fine. A good bow deserves a wrapping and leather that is historically accurate. But if you have a bow that is not worth restoration or if you just want to stick something on for now this is fine. There is no adhesive to affect the finish of the wood.
