This set of cam timing tools appears smaller than some others I've seen on Amazon. I'm not planning to adjust the timing, but I do need tools to help change the timing chain on my VW without messing up the timing. I haven't used these yet, so I'm not sure exactly what I'll need, but this seemed like a good basic set. The tools are made of chrome vanadium, which should make them durable. I'm not a mechanic, so I don't need Snap-On quality, but these should work for me 95% of the time. Small investment for my peace of mind, in case I need it. I think it is worth it.
