This looked like the perfect solution for my iPad mini 7th gen and my camera rig. Problems:The cage surrounding your iPad mini’s buttons renders them useless. You must use your fingertips, and depending on your iPad’s position, it’s almost impossible.Once mounted in this cage, your iPad mini is locked in. To remove it, you must remove four hex screws and the back plate. If I’m using my iPad as a monitor, I’d also like to use it for other purposes. The previously mentioned buttons issue was a second dealbreaker.It adds considerable weight, despite being aluminum. Not a fan.The packaging was cheap and poorly made. It nearly tore apart when trying to remove it from the box.They chose a clear silicone case for the iPad, which creates a light ring around it in the cage, especially in certain lighting conditions. This case should’ve been black and opaque.While I had high hopes for this cage, it didn't deliver. The only good thing I can say about it is that it is well made and once my iPad was held hostage inside it, it didn't move around. It was just an unusable solution for me and it's going back to Amazon immediately. I ended up buying a ULANZI iPad Phone Tripod Mount Adapter (UPAD 2 / B09L4YC87B) for $16. Not as "fancy" but in the end, fancy failed me.

It is great to finally have some protection around the edge of my iPad. I use mine for monitoring video but have always wished I could mount it for others to see. Having this cage around it makes it wonderful for mounting and adding other accessories to the 1/4 20 mounts. The icing on the cake is the fact that I can use a NPF batter to keep the iPad running for a long time!

This cage is adjustable for tablets up to 12.9”, and the current M4 version can be mounted as well. There are multiple screws that adjust all sides and there is a slot to hold the hex key. The battery cradle mounts a Sony style, NP-F battery which powers the iPad through its cable. Compatible with the other Accsoon video transmission products, this frame makes the iPad a very large screen for video monitoring. Recommended for versatility.

Power Cage for iPad mini 6.Overall a nicely machined cage that is slim and provides valuable 1/4" threaded mounting points on all 4 sides which, if using as a monitor allows it to be mounted on a stand for example. It comes with a clear, flexible plastic skin that protects the back and sides and provides a good, snug fit, and a clip-on battery plate for long run times, making it very useful on long shoot days.CONS:The iPad mini 6 has a touch sensor on the power button but the cage doesn't allow for enough fingerprint to make contact with it (maybe my fingers are just too big and sausage-like?).The supplied USB-C and Lightning cables are way too long: the distance from the battery plate's port to the iPad is approx 8cm, the cables are approx 30cm so I end up gaffer taping them down.The sunshade uses a fiddly bungee cord and mag-clip type fitment which needs to be simplified (if it doubled as a screen protector when folded away it would then be worth having). Bear in mind the Mini 6 is only around 500 nits brightness so it's unlikely you'd be using it outdoors in bright light anyway, in most scenarios you'll probably find you don't need it.in summary, it provides some protection to the iPad and adds proper mounting points. You'll still need a way to protect the screen during storage and transport. Some aspects of the design need improvement.

The first image on the left ( with holes on each corner) was what I ordered, the one on the right, was what O got. Also USB-C cable was missing? Only cable for iPhone/Older iPad was in the box. Apart from that, the gage is solid. The main set back for me is, it does not have enough shock absorption against impact.

you encase the iPad Pro already within a case. Seems like a palaver but it isn’t and the flap of the ‘soft’ case also provides screen protection. Maximum safety for the device IMO.

Very nice cage for your iPad. Comes with a battery plate, which works great to add additional items like wireless video transmitter to your rig. I use this for my directors monitor and it gets the job done.
