This door works fabulously! It was very easy to install. I left it on the original setting; opens at daylight, closes at dark. This works just fine for me as it's better for the chickens to be out early and it gives the stragglers time to get inside in the evening before it closes. Additionally, the door opens very slowly and closes very slowly, which is much safer for the chickens. The no pinch feature for the door does work, but since the door's moving slowly, the chickens have a chance to get inside before getting pinched. The door has a solar powered charger for the battery, which is convenient for where the chicken house is located away from a power source. However, it did not come with an additional charger for direct current, which would have been convenient for charging before installation. Nevertheless, I was able to place it in the sun with the solar panel, to charge before use. Previous to ordering this door, I acquired a different door from another seller... it was very difficult to program and only lasted one year. So far, I am thrilled with this product and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it to continue working for a long time. I highly recommend this solar charged automatic door!

I've been using this automatic chicken coop door for about two weeks now, and it's been a total game-changer! Setup was super easy, and the solar power feature works flawlessly. I love how I can set it to open and close based on light or timer—no more rushing out early in the morning or worrying at night.It feels sturdy and well-built, and the anti-pinch design gives me peace of mind for my chickens’ safety. So far it’s held up great through wind and rain, and I’ve noticed it’s been a good deterrent for raccoons and other predators trying to sneak in at night.Overall, I’m super happy with this purchase. Worth every penny!

A little bit of dirt and it won't close. I wasn't aware of it not closing. With the door not closing we had a fox come in to join our chickens for a midnight snack. Other than that the door works great if you want to clean it every 2 days

The product was easy to install however it would not open when programmed to open and would not close when programmed to close. I could open the door by pushing the red button however it would not stay open. We had to remove the door when we had a chicken we could not get out. We have returned the product and purchased another door with manual open in case of emergency.

Easy to install and works absolutely perfect in our brand new chicken coop. Size is perfect and it is very sturdy nothing can get in when it is closed.

So far this door has been great! Most automatic doors open vertically, but the roof on my coop prevents using a vertically opening door. This one works and was easy to install and program. The programming instructions are right on the front of the door, so when I forget how to do it, it's right there. Nice touch. Seems sturdy and stays charged with the solar panel.

Absolutely love this door!! I love that it opens and closes sideways versus up & down. And the solar charger is a game changer. The coop is in a secure run, so this door works perfectly for my needs. And bonus, it is a great price!!!

Easy to install, reliable. Now i can sleep in in the morning, go out at night and my girls are safe! I like the dawn to dusk feature. I have a cord if need to charge but looks like the sunlight even on rainy days does the trick. The door is solid and the hinges are simple and easy to use. My coop is built so i can't put a door that goes up and down. This door opens wide and i have 3 Wyandottes who have no trouble getting in and out. Got answers quickly through email.
