I’m a lifelong DR player. I’ve played everything over the years, and usually go High Beams. Since I have walnut stringers on my maple body, and black hardware, these strings just made it pop. And pop it dies. They are amazing. I get compliments all the time now.

Okay, so they're amazing, and they have a big deep low sound because they're smooth, and yeah, they'll last for ages, and yeah, when these do finally give out, I'll DEFINITELY buy another set, but I hope that won't be for a while, because these are PRICEY!(Yes, worth it though)

Really one of the worst set of strings I have ever played on. Had them over a week and going to switch out as soon as I can. Yuck...!

Just installed these and they look great, don’t feel too funny and sound just as good

These just have a great tone. Not too bright. Punchy. Deep. Round. Reminds me of low grand piano strings, the way they rumble. And they look cool, too! I cant recommend them enough.

The fastest delivery I've seen. These strings make your bass come to life. You won't believe the difference these make in the overall sound and playability of your favorite bass.

I placed these on a Precision Bass and they brought it to life again! Nice sounds and clarity. I am not sure how long they will last, just placed them on a few days ago. I like the thicker gauge strings for drop tuning and these give me a good balance. I can standard tune or drop tune. Thanks!

Bought these strings when I bought my Lakland. Wanted to go full Geezer Butler and they delivered in bucket loads! I tune down a lot so the heavy gauge really helps

***edit October 2015***After only six months of casual use, the D string popped. Even the cheap strings that came with the bass from the factory lasted a couple of years. Just to be sure it wasn't an external factor like a bad angle or burr, I looked very closely at the bridge (where the break happened) and found no contributing causes. At this point, I am not convinced of the "extended life" claim of these strings. The coating was nice and only barely wore off at a couple of frets. The tone still sounded great until today. But the short life of a rarely used string (and I'm, by no means, "shredding" on these) is too much counter to those features. I'll consider other strings on my next purchase.Original review :I'm not an audiophile and I can't pick up on the nuances between quality strings as well as others. What I can say is these babies SING! I definitely heard a beautiful difference between them and my previous set - and, coming from me, that means a lot. I didn't like the "give" on the medium gage strings I've used in the past (one slip and that E would go right off the fretboard), and I also like playing some dropped tuning that would get so sloppy on medium strings, so I thought I might try some heavy gage this time. The difference was akin to going back to re-training my finger strength all over again (at least, in E standard). Heavy gage definitely requires some more effort to fret without a buzz.Regarding the coating - WOW. The rounds don't feel nearly as rough with this coating. Fear not, the heavier fretting will keep my callouses strong, though! I have had these on for a while and I see no sign of the coating wearing off. The oils in my hands aren't terribly acidic, so YMMV.

Very nice. It's like I expected ! Just need to know how long it could be durable. I truly recommend.
