I can't get mine installed, because the case meant to hold them in place is not actually attached, meaning the pickups themselves fall loose inside my bass whenever i go to screw them in.

My favorite p bass pickup. I’m not wasting time and money on EMG or Duncan anymore. These have cloth covered wire, they fit perfectly, no noise, good output.

They sound, look, and fit well in your average p bass. The price is great and we’re very easy to install. However the wax seal that is supposed to hold the casing to the magnet was not sealed. I had to place double sided sticky tape on the magnet to get it to hold together.

I bought these to upgrade my Ibanez GSR100. This is an older, cheap bass that I bought used for $30. I'm a guitar player and bought this bass for recording and noodling around. The original pickups are extremely weak so I bought these as an upgrade. The sound appears to be cleaner and slightly more powerful, if you place the pickups too close to the strings you get a big deep sound , I prefer them slightly backed off from the strings, as I find the tone is more balanced that way.Biggest downside I found is the plastic covers don't really fit into these pickup routes. I had to forcefully push them in the route to the point where the plastic is being kind of squished, I thought I would break them. Thankfully they "fit" though and i'm quite pleased. Just be aware they may not fit in some pickup routes.

The black plastic covers of the pickups were held in place by cheap black 2 way tape. That tape was bad and I had to figure out a way to hold the pickup to the cover since you screw the pickup cover into the bass and pickup would rattle around because it had nothing holding it.I thought about using a hot glue gun to glue the black covers to the pickups but wasn`t sure if it would affect them. What I ended up trying was cutting some slices of cardboard slightly smaller then the pickup and putting it into the pickup cavity in the the bass body. then laid the pickups on top and used the cover to fit over the pickup and hold it in place. So the only way to be able to adjust the pickup height for me now is to add or remover cardboard from under the pickups. Very ghetto but it works. The pickups themselves sound great. My bass has space for two sets of these pickups so I wired them to run together at once full time. I bought these pickups initially because the neck pickup was very loud by itself and my bridge pickup was dull and both together were dull. I figured the bass shipped with bad pickups and these were priced good and running them both on full time made a huge difference in sound on this instrument. These would have been a 5 star review if the covers were actually epoxied or screwed onto the pickups.

They sound much better than I was expecting. Replacing some other cheapo pickups in my P-bass. Huge improvement. Quiet too.

Pickups look great, and were everything I expected them to be. However, the cases were not attached very well, and had both arrived with the cases broken off. Looked inside the bases, and the moulding that was used was garbage.

If you are a fan of absolutely geddy lee'ing the heck out of your strings and chunky bass tones like duff mckagan or Chris squire this is the way to go! Forget EMG because these are the same thing at a tenth the price.

Decided to try this on my Squire PJ bass due to the stock pick up sounding decent, but not inspiring.Once I installed it, I barely turned up the volume and I got a loud and beefy sound! During the installation I saw that my volume and tone pots were 500k and seeing that the pick up is a humbucker it runs at its full capacity. Now I can't put my bass down and can't wait to add the jazz pick up!

My kit-built P-bass clone just didn't have the oomph I wanted, so, based on my experience with the Guyker sidewinder pickup, I thought I'd give these pickups a try. Success! Lots more bottom end and midrange clarity, lots of output. Probably not as subtle as the golden-eared audiophiles would like, but just what I needed for my garage band bass. Also, direct replacement, just screw in and connect. Full marks.
