We purchased to keep in our storage for our camper to check our slide out for debris before closing it (our camper does not have a mounted ladder nor it's own mini awning over the slide out).It is small when stored which I think is important when camping since space is always limited. It also closes amazingly, it will leave a little gap between the buttons used to close and the top until you go to the next level to not pinch fingers. The strap stays attached to lowest ring to not loose.We also used it where we were parked to help with a tree swing and that seemed a little questionable with the flex of ladder against the tree while fully extended but it worked out incident free and did not permanently warp the ladder. I would buy again.
