Styrofoam insulated door with melamine finish on both sides. Its frame has a built-in 2in. steel trim that eliminates the need for ceiling molding. Frame installation is simplified with specialized steel hangers. For safety, this attic ladder has steel grab handles at the top of the stairs, as well as a reversible telescoping handrail. The stairs descend with a simple pole and hook system, allowing The Rainbow Attic Stair Prestige Telescoping Attic Ladder to operate with ease.

Description of detail on stairs with the parameters of floor ceiling are not working and I can’t find extra stairs to add to this. Please advise thank you.

We purchased an existing home, and the attic stairs were flimsy at best. These stairs are the sturdiest feeling attic stairs we have ever used. While they do have a slight side-to-side “wiggle”, the feeling under you feet as you climb them is one of excellent support. PLUS… the frame and door are insulated so that no air exchange takes place with heating and cooling. Practical and energy efficient (and every little bit helps!)
