After totally messing up the first try, my fault for not carefully reading directions, I/we attempted the second.we couldn’t get the plastic spiral completely out. It all ended up in the trash! 😖

I bought these looking for a solution for an inexpensive wok I purchased from Costco for $15. At first I was hesitant because I wasn’t sure it would work, I was pleasantly surprised when it fit like a glove and stayed on tight! When in use i get no heat transfer which is crazy. I highly recommend.

This product comes in three sizes. I chose the middle size. Glad I did because it fit my pot handles perfectly and looks surprisingly well. Very easy to install. Be sure you have something very sharp like a razor blade to trim the excess off of the finished end. I am so pleased that I plan to buy another pair.

I love these pot handle covers. I have at least 3 sets of them that I have used on all of my metal handled pans. One day I picked up one of my little sauce pans that didn't have one of these pot handle covers, and I burned my hand on the handle. Apparently it had become very hot while simmering some gravy on the stove. I knew I needed to get some more pot handle covers, but I wasn't sure if they would work on the curved handles on this set of pots (which is why I hadn't installed them on these yet). I decided it was worth a try. Well, long story short, it worked. This is how I did it.First I used a pliers to carefully remove the metal hanger rings on the handles (wrap the pliers teeth with tape if you're worried about scratching). Then I followed the standard instructions to install the pot handle covers. Because of the curve in the handle it was harder to pull the plastic tubing out of the handle, so instead of pulling it straight out I unwrapped it by turning it around and around while pulling it out. It took a little maneuvering, but I WAS able to do it. When I was finished installing the handle covers I used the pliers to put the hang rings back onto the handles. As you can see from the pictures, the final result looks great. These are small pans, so I used the small sized pot handle covers.I recommend these to anyone who has a pot or pan with a handle. They are NOT difficult to install on regular, straight-handled pots and pans. They are more difficult on handles like the ones I'm showing here, but it can still be done with a bit of effort.I notice some reviewers saying that these are hard to install. I strongly feel that this is user error. If you choose the correct size for your handle and follow the directions, they go on very easily. Dish gloves or light duty garden/work gloves can be worn to protect the hands from the plastic tubing scratching or causing a "paper cut" on them if one is elderly or has very delicate skin.Bottom line - buy these. They work, they're easy to install, and they're worth every penny.

What a great upgrade to our existing large cast iron pan. We love that pan for all the reasons that people love cast iron, but the handle does get hot. We have to be careful in particular when we cook Pecan-Crusted Pork Tenderloin, which involves searing the meat first and then putting the whole pan into the oven to finish cooking. Heavy pan + hot handle + pot holder or mitt = dangerous when removing from the oven. Add to that the unconscious temptation to reach for that pan handle while still hot when sitting on the stove, and you've got trouble. This should eliminate those problems entirely - the silicone is heat resistant, and it covers the entire handle tightly for secure handling. There are a couple of things to be aware of with these though. First is the relative size of the sleeve to the pan. The Large size worked great for the cast iron, but I'm not so sure how tightly it's going to fit the other pans that could benefit (there are two sleeves in a set.) Take careful measurements of your candidate pans before ordering so you get the right size. Also, these are easily trimmed in length with a pair of scissors, so don't worry about the sleeve being longer than the handle. The only negative in my view is the amount of disposable plastic required for the coil that each sleeve comes pre-threaded on. While I'm impressed with the cleverness that allows you to place the sleeve securely on the handle by stripping out the inside core by pulling on it, it does generate a lot of non-recyclable plastic. I'm wondering if they might be able to include a wider tab on the end with a standard recycle symbol with the type of plastic on it so the plastic could be recycled.

I wasted the first one. This handle is very hard to fit. Your must start at the end of the handle close to the pan. The cover will move up the handle very fast. Cover works very well to reduce heat and also works well following cleaning in dishwasher.

I mean, they look a little cheap, but they work perfect! And it's very satisfying unraveling them ha ha ha ha.
