Bought these for a nice used Schecter Stiletto Custom 5 I recently bought. Very pleased with the feel, low tension and balanced tone. I will continue to use these strings, and may get a 4 string set for my Stingray too.

Lighter strings just bring out sonic characteristics in my bass that I’ve recently come to love and finding these light gauge 40-120 strings was just as amazing. They seem well made, they are round wound…not as silky smooth as a coated Elixr but not as rough and harsh and a pack of Ernie Ball strings either…somewhere in-between closer to the comfort side of that spectrum. I’ve had my first Foundation 5 string set for a few weeks now plying at least 2-3 events a week and they have yet to loose any tonal quality (getting dull-sounding).The most awesome thing for me was finding a quality set of 5 string bass strings for under $40-$50 bucks that are ACTUALLY good and inspire more playing! Loving them!

These S.I.T. Foundation strings make my 2005 Diamond series active 5 string Schecter Bass come alive!! I won't use anything eles!

Strings are awesome. Give me all the tone and flexibility I desire. With a good setup, the foundations are pretty responsive. Don't have a lot of tension either for your benders out there. They're perfect for me. I get good clean bottom, distinct mids and aggressive highs that don't peek with these on my PJ bass. And they certainly stay in tune hence the name. I can attest to this. My bass sits in the corner up against the wall when not in use. And usually only 1 or 2 strings (I play 5 string) are ever so slightly "off". Break in period isn't strenuous either. I like that. I hate getting new strings and having to play the dirt off of them to get them worry free and gig ready. For my tone/feel preference....these are top 5 in my book. And the price makes them top 3.
