Extreme Weather

Extreme Weather?

If your local temperature is below 40 or above 80 degrees, Please select “Hold at Post Office for Pickup”

This option will have your package marked to be held at your local post office. You will need to follow tracking and pick up at your post office once it arrives. It is MUCH safer for live goods as it prevent them being exposed to heat/cold in a delivery truck, a mail box and/or a porch.

Plants that are “Shipped to Address” during extreme weather will VOID THE LIVE ARRIVAL AND WILL NOT BE REFUNDED

It is up to you as the buyer to be mindful of weather in your state when you place an order with live plants.

Live Arrival

100% Live Arrival

Plants N Fins is proud to offer Live Aquarium Plants! While we try to accommodate for temperatures and shipping times occasionally plants may not survive the journey. If this happens to you, take photos of them in their packaging and send them in a “message to seller”.

PLEASE DO NOT RETURN LIVE GOODS

We will review the tracking data and as long as they were not exposed to extreme temperatures (refer to the Extreme Weather Section)

and picked up same day, we will cover your entire order.

Again, please do not submit for a return, this will only cause delay and we will charge a restocking fee for the extra shipping costs.

Melting

Why Your Plant May Look Different

Most of our plants are grown emersed. (Roots in water, leaves/stems out of water). This means the plant will melt (shed its "air" grown leaves) when submerged in your aquarium and grow back its submerged growth.

Many plants have VERY different looks (leaf shape, size, and color) when comparing their Emersed growth to their Submerged growth. This is very common. When you submerge your plant in your aquarium, it will melt back (this does not mean it is dying or dead) and grow back it's submerged growth which is will resemble the picture used for this plant.

Red Plants may need more iron (Fe) supplement than other plants to achieve their best look. Iron (Fe) is the mineral that causes the red to appear. Please research your plants and provide them the environment and nutrients they need to thrive.

I didn’t get a bulb, I got a completely rooted plant! Pest free. Absolutely gorgeous. It has already grown two new leaves. Very happy and will order from them again.

The plant came in vacuum sealed bag that kept it moist/wet so it did not dry out; bubble wrapped then boxed. Plant had lots of good sized roots and leaves (mine had 4 leaves and strong roots) Great red color. I was going to order another one but was told to wait since they can be aggressive in growth. So gonna wait it out. Mine looks super healthy out of the packaging so I'm hopeful it will do well

My plant arrived looking terrible. The roots are completely detached from the bulb and it smelled terrible. I was really looking forward to adding this Lillie to my tank, I’ve never seen these locally to purchase. Will be requesting a refund.

I'd buy this again. It's very nice in my small betta tank. I purchased 2 different plants from 2 different sellers. Both are in the same tank. One came with a tiny snail. Since I was going to put a snail in my tank anyways I'm not complaining, I just don't know which plant came with the stowaway.

This jewel arrived in splendid condition, ready to go - and go she is. The new growth started in a couple days. It is on a high and prominent spot in my tank. I'll be getting more of these, I want one in each tank, at least! It is just a spectacular plant that I'm smitten with!UPDATE: I couldn't help myself, I bought a second one; it looks spectacular, and I may even end up with a 2-for-1 out of it as the plant separated from the bulb and is doing just fine. I snipped off 2 tiny pieces of steel tie wire and added them into the substrate directly under this and the color began in about a week. Looking into this plant a bit more, the bulb can rebloom new plants as well and my tank seems to be a very plant-friendly, healthy tank so it's just a matter of not screwing that up - this is one of 9 aquatic plant types in it right now, and 3 other houseplant types. The plants are probably (more?) important than the fish, I know I'm having as much 'fun' with them as with all the swimmers.
