The BEST cage for the GH6. It’s a bit on the heavier side, but there’s endless mounting points, perfect for for th GH6 and it just looks badass. I love this cage!

Full disclosure, I got this from the Amazon Vine program, but all my other cameras are outfitted with Tilta gear and they have always come through with the best bang for your buck, innovation and quality steel/aluminum as we all being the best in terms of fit and function for my cameras.The accessories that you can pair with this cage make it a hit — I for one, like the slanted cold shoe adapters… they allow for me to keep stuff out of the way and I use a magic arm if I’m looking to mount something anyway.The amount of screw holes offer-up a ton of options and functionality for the price, and the grip is still perfect for the GH6 in my hands. Easy access to the battery and does its job by keeping my camera safe in case of any tumbles during run & gun operations.For the current price and versus competitors’ products, I would choose Tilta every time. There’s a reason I use their cages and accessories on all my other cameras as well, and I was pleasantly surprised by this cage — beautiful presentation in the box too!

This review is for the Tilta Full Camera Cage for Panasonic GH6 (Model TA-T15-FCC-B). In summary, it offers an excellent cost-to-performance ratio and is a solid competitor against SmallRig and others. I have a for my GH6 and their , and all in all, the Tilta is lighter and slimmer while sharing similar installation/mounting and stability. The Nitze cage feels more robust and has better cold shoe mounts, but the Tilta is great if you only want to connect a handle and a microphone or if you want to use a NATO handle while shooting in portrait mode. The Nitze included an HDMI cable clamp, whereas the Tilta included an additional base plate.Both cages mount to the camera using three points: the tripod mount with a locating pin and the strap lug on the grip side. Perhaps the biggest difference is that you get a NATO rail on top at the cost of compromising two of the three cold shoe mounting points. This might be advantageous if you plan to shoot a lot of vertical video. However, due to the dimensions of the top rail, none of the cold shoe mounts have a front stop, the center mount blocks the camera's hot shoe, and the mount near the shutter button could potentially interfere with the WB button or the mode selection dial. Like the Nitze, the bottom of the cage doubles as an ARCA-SWISS QR plate and can be directly mounted to some tripods. The Tilta also comes with an ARRI-style Rosette mount, though I don't have anything that uses it.

Si tienes una GH6 ni te lo pienses. Es EL complemento, así sin más.No tiene gran peso, así que no notarás una carga excesiva, se complementa con otros muchos accesorios (microfonía, iluminación, etc) y no es necesario retirarla para montar la cámara en gimbal o trípode. Muy recomendable.

Nice rigid cage, fits GH7 perfectly. Built in hot shoes work fine even with heavy gear. Have a black mamba for the GH6 at 3x the price and it flexes more but has a HDMI guard attachment.

I primarily shoot with my GH6 camera for handheld work, so I use a button trigger wooden hand-grip on the right side of my camera cage. The mamba was a great cage, and at the time literally the only one you could get. FWIW I own and use a TON of Smallrig gear, but the mamba cage does NOT have a case mount on the right side of the cage only on the left. I started to notice that the cage was flexing as I used the camera - and this was due to the lack of a mount point on the right side of the cage, and that was going to be a problem. Then I checked out the Tilta cage and (see 2nd picture) there is a mount on the cage and camera body EXACTLY where I needed it, problem solved! To be honest I wish it had a mount point on the left side as well, but there is far less stress on that side of the cage, at least the way I use it. Like the Smallrig it also has a screwdriver-ish tool that is magnetically held on to the bottom, BUT it does not include a small allen key to tighten up the very mount point I bought it for - oh well a small price to pay I suppose! The cage was also cheaper than the mamba cage, a nice perk!

Everyone seems to go for the Small Rig cage with the GH6. This Tilta caught my eye a little more. I am a novice and hobbyist with cameras but this cage does everything I wanted it to do and at half the price of the Small Rig, with I think more features.Yea the Small Rig cage is form fitted to the gh6, so what? The Tilta is stout and has hookup stations in all the right places. I am happy with the Tilta cage.

S'adapte parfaitement au Gh6, j'ai longtemps hésité avec les cages du principal concurrent à savoir Small Rig, mais j'ai pu profiter d'une promotion qui à fait pencher la balance.Le produit est de qualité et respire la solidité, le Gh6 est parfaitement maintenu et il y a pléthore de pas de vis, de cold shoe pour l'accessoiriser à votre convenance.Seul point négatif, j'ai justement une poignée latérale de chez Small Rig et forcément les 2 vis ne correspondent pas avec l'emplacement des pas de vis de la cage, j'y ai remédié en ne vissant qu'une vis sur les 2 et la poignée de bouge pas.Vous pouvez par la suite compléter la cage avec d'autres produits de la marque mais la note risque de monter très vite, la qualité ayant un prix.
