I wanted to use this with a Dell Precision 3530 laptop, but I could not get the laptop to recognize the USB device, no matter what I tried. Yes, I followed the instructions (I'm an IT guy for a major university), which were printed so small I had to use a magnifying glass to read them. No luck. Too bad, had it worked, it might have been a great boost to this PC.

Not sure what speed it should be at given that it is advertised to be AX1800. Yeah, I know it is combined speed, however when it's max speed on Netgear WAX630 is up to 160Mbps than you would calm this N class adapter ok maybe AC nowhere near AX class. I do NOT recommend this adapter at all.

This initially shows up as a USB thumb drive and will prompt you to install a driver. It doesn't necessarily mean it is nefarious, it could just mean that they don't want to jump through the hoops needed to get their driver included in Windows update. I however don't like that it is an EXE instead of just a INF file, but then again not everyone would know what to do with and INF file so the EXE may be necessary for that.Looking into the hardware ID in Device Manager you will find the following ID _a69c:_8d81which is a chip from a lesser known company AiC, model 8800D80. Regardless it is less than advertised. Interestingly, this chip also supports Bluetooth 5.3 and yes, that feature is enabled. Odd that great feature is not advertised anywhere, including the packaging. You get both WiFi and Bluetooth in one tiny littler adapter. Score!I don't have a home network setup to test PC to PC data transfers so I could only test internet bandwidth. Using testmynet I got an average across 10 tests of 174.1 Mbps down, 142.1 Mbps up which isn't bad for a single client on a saturated 1200Mbps connection. This should be plenty for most things, including online gaming and 4k video streaming. However, this test was conducted on a PC that is no more than 3 feet from the WiFi router. None of these small adapters have good range and performance will drop off steeply as you move away from the router, particularly if there are obstructions. These are best used in line of site situations.

This is a simple usb wifi 6 adapter. It works as long as you install the driver. On first insert, it shows as storage with the driver executable. After install, it is recognized and picks up wifi signals. As I tried this on an older laptop, using this wifi 6 adapter, my bandwidth doubled. It pickup the wifi signal fine within the house. It has not had any connectivity issues. As my distance is about 25 feet with just a wall in between the floors, the signal strength is as good as expected. So far so good.
