The sound and tone are amazing. Fits fender 1980’s jazz bass special perfectly. If your looking to keep original fender parts on your gear and on the fence about these I would say get them.

I sent back one set of pickups I had ordered from Amazon due to a defective neck pickup and the replacement set had the same issue. As it turned out I returned the second set and asked for a refund.

Added to my Yamaha Bass and upgraded the tone in one go.It would have been nice if they included some foam to adjust the height, but not a big problem.

I have upgraded my Ibanez with these pickups, sound has be improved from hot stock pickups to smooth responsive vintage. Fender tone lovers should go of it.

Bridge pickup doesn't fit with Squier Affinity PJ bass. Have to enlarge the pickup hole. Also, bridge pickup seems less sensitive than neck pickup. When both pickup turn to maximum volume, however, balance is good. Would be great if there's a preamp with it.

These are probably great upgrades for whatever 100 dollar bass you buy, but I bought these to upgrade a fender mustang and the the tone quality dropped significantly. I wouldn't suggest buying these unless you are looking for a very sub par upgrade for a decent price.

Decent sounding PJ pickup set which a definite upgrade to cheaper pickups on clone bass guitars. Set comes with new hardware but no springs and one single piece of foam which was only enough to do the bridge pickup. For this amount of money, Fender should include at least the appropriate amount of foam, which Fender has done in the past.
