These pants were just the right style that I was looking for this Halloween and for carrying into a more permanent costume for Renaissance Faire purposes. Sturdy fabric, stitching, and lacing make this perfect for a more rough and tumble piece. My only complaint is the cut of the fabric leaves a bit to be desired in the posterior region. Someone with a flatter backside would be able to keep the top of the pants at a range necessary to not accidentally expose the lovingly titled "plumber's crack", but I don't believe myself to be too gifted with the cake my parents brought me into the world with.I am looking forward to using it in the future and hopefully other costume pieces and undergarments will ensure I don't raise the rating from PG-13 to R in my next costuming adventure.

These are a little long--I'm 5'6", so I don't have the longest legs. But they're well made and look great. I'll just have to have them tailored a bit. Great Ren Fest wardroom addition.

Whether it's a Renaissance festival, LARP, or Halloween, these pants rock. The rough finished textile gives it a rustic feel, and the style (while not necessarily 100% accurate to the time it's inspired by) passes the silhouette test where traditional methods of securing your trousers may feel cumbersome and frumpy. My only gripe is they don't have pockets, but such is the nature of costuming. As long as you know how to cinch things down, you won't be disappointed!

I wear a 34 w so I know Im pretty right in the medium zone. But these are just a bit snug for a medium and a little uncomfortable to wear for a long period. That said, the material is great and it is nicely made. I'd absolutely recommend it, but maybe purchase a size higher.

These are really great pants and work for a lot of different costumes, but they can be tricky to size right. They're baggy, which is how they're supposed to be, but the ankle portion is a little confusing. They don't fit or lace correctly to be worn around the ankle, but the pants are too long to wear that part around the calf. I got these for my partner and they worked, but his costume involved the lower half of his pants being tucked into boots. Overall, I feel like they run large, but it's really going to depend on what type of costume you're putting together. They also don't have pockets, which is bad if you're not accessorizing, but is great if you're planning to wear a bunch of pouches. All in all, solid product that works great, but you have to make sure you know what you need them for and what the rest of your costume and accessories are going to be before you buy.

The pants match the color in the picture, and the fit is as expected. These have NO POCKETS, which isn't a huge downside, but something to note. The strings on the legs were installed from top to bottom, maybe that's how it's supposed to be...but I had to run the strings back up before tying them so it looked and felt right, otherwise the strings would have been dragging on the ground.

I am planning on going as a pirate to one of the Halloween parties this year and I am really happy with these pants. I did order three different tops and there was only one I was truly happy with. I only ordered this one pair of pirate pants, and happily it will work. The quality is better than some of those inexpensive, one time use Halloween costumes. I suspect I would be able to get many uses out of them. I normally buy pants with a 38” waist, and these fit perfectly. While this is worn with the legs pulled up a bit and tightened around the calves, it actually is almost long enough if I didn’t want to tie the bottoms. I am well over 6’ 6”, so it’s rare to find pants that are only sold by waist size to be anywhere near long enough for me.Only minor item would be that there are no pockets. Not like authentic pirates needed pockets to carry cell phones, but a couple of pockets could have been handy for a modern day pirate.I can certainly recommend these pirate/medieval/Viking styled pants. Good quality for a costume, looks good and is comfortable to wear.

The material isn't bad, just regular cloth, not too thin or stiff.I got my correct waist size (32), but the pants are just a little too baggy in the lower leg to really work the "pirate" look. Even at the tightest, they are too baggy and slide down. At best, they look and feel like thin sweat pants. Also, they don't have pockets. They do have a draw-string to secure the waist.
