Lined up the right side and drilled the two holes The bolts were too long and should have been shorter Went to drill the right side an it would not sit flush. The only way it would work is to mount it on the inside . I sent the product back an bought one from another company

These do the job, but as another reviewer pointed out, there are a couple head-scratchers. Incidentally, this review is in reference to the product's use on Ego snowblower #SNT2102. First, there are no instructions on either the product page, or with the product. This is not fatal since the proper installation can be surmised, but it would have been better to have them. Second, these are marked "left" and "right" - but if you want to install them along the inner edge or along the outer edge, the left and right perspective changes. I installed them on the outer edge so my perspective of left and right was from behind the unit as if I was using it. Third, as nearly every review has mentioned, these screws are too long, but it doesn't impede the movement of the auger. Lastly, and most importantly IMO, the left shoe doesn't fit on model SNT2102 without a modification - one of the two screws (the lower one) overlaps against a plate. I had to cut the shoe and drill a new hole through it for it to fit flush. So, in the end, they do the job - just be aware of those observations if you own Ego SNT2102.

The only instructions included are those in the Amazon listing which don't show how they should be oriented. I initially thought they should be installed with the thin side to the bottom ... but it wouldn't be able to be properly installed that way since one of the mounting tabs is right where the side cover is. As a matter of fact, a one star reviewer pointed that out. But I thought I'd post a question thinking the company might respond. I did get a couple of responses from other customers indicating they did not have the problem I mentioned and I received no response from the vendor. So then I noticed there were two competing items ... one cheaper and one much more expensive. I looked at both listings and both showed clear pictures showing the skids mounted. The thick side ends up on the bottom and the thin side ends up on the front with the screw holes in vertical alignment.Once I had the proper information, all said to use the skids as a template, so I did, but I wanted to drill from the outside so I used the left skid as a template for the holes on the right and vice versa. The skids are labeled Left and Right, but again it isn't clear because you don't know if they are looking from the back or front. It turns out the the orientation is as you are standing behind it looking forward. Anyway, drilled the holes, coated with rust preventive and bolted on. The supplied bolts are much too long so what I did was cut them off after mounting them. As you can see by the photo, on a level garage floor and the scraper blade resting on the floor, the skids are a little off the ground. Probably touch just fine as the blower is pushed forward.I am rating at 3 star for now just because of the screws being too long, they appear to be made in China, and they don't touch the floor with a new scraper blade (this may not be an issue), but the biggest reason is I got no response from vendor when question was posted and I waisted a LOT of time on what could have been a very simple and easy install.

The right side fits fine, although the included bolts are way too long. As you can see, the left side does not allow for both bolts to be used due to a secondary plate on that side.

I received the snow blower skids today. The skids look fine, however, there are several screws/nuts/washers missing. It will be difficult to install without the necessary parts, that were supposed to come with it. The items were completely sealed in a small box, so it was originally shipped this way. I will probably resort to scavenging through my collection of screws/nuts and washers to make do. It's unfortunate that I didn't get what I paid for, not just the parts, but the convenience of having everything together and ready to go. I would not order this again.
