these work great for those factory hose clamps that are in a tough spot to get anything else on them, nice just to have in the box to save a headache or two!

I went through 3 of these in the same at auto zone. the first one's cable retainer blew off the moment it saw tension. The second bent immediately under normal load. The third was mode poorly and had very little stroke in the clamping motion. I decided I'd just let my truck sit in the garage while I waited for this one to get shipped to me.This one looked eerily similar to the auto zone clamp so I had low expectations. Turns out this thing actually does its job and does it very well! When the clamp was under tension it still felt super solid where the auto zone one was bendy and had a lot of elasticity in the handle portion. I highly recommend this clamp!

Overall OK tool for the price. Not a stellar build quality, but it works on most cooling system sized hose clamps. Has trouble with smaller ones though.It’s nice to be able to worm the head in and lock it down so you can work the clamps off.

Definitely a must and worth every penny toget the right tool for the job. These are better made than I expected; a professional product for a very good price. The only thing that could be improved is the release mechanism, but once you get used to it, not bad.

I used this immediately after receiving it to disconnect a few hoses to get some clearance when cleaning my car's throttle body. The clamps were on the smaller side as they were for the air hoses connected to the car's air filter duct thing. This tool grabbed each side of the clamp securely and locked it in place. When you were done, you just swing that release bar to the left and it lets go. There is no play in the tool. It's well made. I'm impressed.
