It definitely got rid of any hum I was experiencing, but it does have a lower output by comparison. I just raised the pickup height a little and blended it with my neck pickup to taste. Def. Works for what i need.

Did not make much of an improvement from my MIM. Not hotter like I wanted. Should have went for the overwound Lindy Fralen. But the tones blended are pretty sweet. Wires are wimpy. I have a 75 jazz bridge in a mustang and it is hotter and more harmonic and a lot less expensive.

I mixed this in with a set of Geezer Butler EMG neck pickups, and my Squier MB-4 is now a freaking BeaST !

I got this for the bridge position of an LTD Vintage 214FL fretless bass, with an SD Quarter Pound P bass pickup in the middle. It also has a Hipshot BT7 Xtender and SIT Power Flats strings.The controls are volume, volume, master tone (passive). While the P pickup has higher output, this pickup adds the ideal "something extra." As far as 60 cycle hum, there isn't any. It sounds great on full or on 1/2, in tandem with the Quarter Pound pickup... or soloed. It has the great J bass tone and "bark." It sounds very impressive and clear with the dropped D thing! I couldn't be happier with this purchase and the price is a steal!

Really nice - punchy, with that single-coil bite, but none of the usual j pick-up buzz/noise. Holds it own (power-wise) with the p-pup in a p/j configuration. Happy.
